  Drums r ange  from  slow,  mid  paced  to f ast  drumming  with  a  great  amount  of  brutal  sounding  blast  beats  being t hrown  into  the  music,  while  the  bass  playing  has  a v ery  dark  tone  with  riffs  that  follow  the  riffing  that  is  coming  out  of  the  guitars.

  Rhythm  guitars  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  riffs  that  combine  chaotic  hardcore,  noisecore,  crust  and  grind  to  create  a  sound  of  their  own  with  a  brief  use  of  dark  sounding  melodies  being  thrown  into  the  riffing  and  there  are  little  to  no  guitar  solos  or  leads  present  on  this  recording.

  Vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  noise/grindcore  screams  along  with  a  brief  use  of  spoken  word  parts, while  the  lyrics  cover  humorous  themes,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a v ery  strong,  powerful,  heavy  and  professional  sound  for  being  a  self  released  recording  with  the  songs  being  really  short.

  In  my  opinion  Fake  Asian  Rolex  are  a  very  great  sounding  hybrid  of  chaotic  hardcore,  grind,  crust  and  noisecore  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  style,  you  should  check  out  this  band.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Rapin  Beliefs'  "Did  you  put  anything  in  my  pepsi  last  night"  "Pew  Pew    !  I'm  A  Laser  Gun"  and  "80  %  Satanic".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.

RU-486/Iron Empire/No Visible Scars/2010 Cassette Review

  RU-486  are  a  band  from  Minnesota  that  has  been  featured  before  in  this  zine  with  a  musical  style   that  I  would  describe  as  being  a  mixture  of  power  electronics,  harsh  noise  and  noisecore  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2010  cassette  "Iron  Empire"  which  was  released  by  No  Visible  Scars.

  Noise  effects  range  from  mellow  sounding  noises  to  harsh  noises  as  well  as  mixing  in  influences  from  noisecore  and  death  industrial  as  well  as  a  great  amount  of  spoken  word  samples  mixed  in  with  a  great  amount  of  heavy  distortion.

  Song  themes  cover  violent  and  dark  themes,  while  the  production  has  a  very  dark,  raw  and  primitive  sound  to  it  with  the  songs  not  either  being  too  short  or  long  in  length.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  RU-486  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  band,  you  should  check  out  this  cassette.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Watchtower  Troops"  and  "Conveyer  Of  Broken  Dreams".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.

  Namuzu  Dantai  are  a  band  from  Germany  that  plays  a  mixture  of  death  industrial,  power  electronics  and  harsh  noise  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2010  cassette  "Nocturnal  Veils"  which  was  released  by  No  Visible  Scars.

  Noise  effects  being  in  elements  of  harsh  noise,  power  electronics  and  death  industrial,  while  the  violins  and  cither  add  more  variety  to  the  music  addiing  somewhat  of  a  Japenese  folklore  feeling  while  the  recording  stays  brutal  throughout  the  album.

  Vocals  and  songwriting  are  all  absent  from  the  recording,  while  the  song  themes  cover  darkness,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  heavy,  brutal,  raw  and  primitive  sound  with  the  songs  being  long  and  epic  in  length.

  Over  are  a  project  from  new  York  that  plays  death  industrial  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2011  self  titled  cassette  which  was  released  by  No  Visible  Scars.

  Noise  effects  and  loops  are  all  in  the  death  industrial  vein  with  the  song  being  long  and  epic  in  length  and  they  are  the  only  musical  instrument  that  are  present  on  this recording,  while  the  vocals  are  all  spoken  word  parts.

  The  song  themes  covering  sexually  perverted  themes,  as  for t he  production  it  has  a  very  dark,  raw  and  primitive  sound.

  In  my  opinion  Over  are  a  very  great  sounding  death  industrial  band  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  ep.  RECOMMENDED.

  Mazadon  Tactics  are  a  band  from  Germany  that  mixes  death  industrial,  harsh  noise,  power  electronics  and  death  metal  together  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2011  cassette  "Adorable  Atrocities"  which  was  released  by  No  Visible  Scars.

  Metals  are  used  in  the  placement  of  drums  and  percussions,  while t he  noise  effects  bring  a  death  industrial  sound  to  the  music  mixed  in  with  some  harsh  noise  and  ambinet  effects  to  create  a  sound of  their  own.

  Vocals  are  all  deep  death  metal  growls  and  high  pitched  screams,  while  the  song  themes  cover  darkness,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  heavy,  raw  and  primitive  sound  to  it  with  the  songs  not  being  too  long  or  short.

  This  is  a  review  of  a  3  way  split  between  Four  Flies,  Wallkeeper  and  My  Blackest  Gloves  called  "Giallo  Box  Set"  which  was  released  vy  No  Visible  Scars  in  the  year  of  2011  and  we  will  start  of  the  review  with  Four  Flies  from  Germany  which  plays  a  mixture  of  death  industrial,  harsh  noise  and  power  electronics.

    Noise  effects  are  all  harsh  death  industrial  power  electronics  which  are  very  harsh  and  brutal  sounding  and  they  are  the  only  musical  instrument  that  are  present  on  their  side  of  the  recording,  while t he  vocals  are  all  spoken  word  samples.

  Song  themes  cover  dark  and  violent  themes  with  the  song  themes  covering  torture,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  heavy,  brutal,  raw  and  primitive  sound  to  it  with  the  song  being  long  and  epic  in  length.

  In  my  opinion  Wallkeeper  are  a  very  great  sounding  hybrid  of  death  industrial,  harsh  noise  and  power  electronics  and if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  their  music  on  the  split.  RECOMMENDED  TRACK  "Vier  Flegen  auf  graum  Mauern".  RECOMMENDED.

  Next  up  is  My  Blackest  Gloves  from  the  U.S.A  another  band  that  combines  death  industrial,  harsh  noise  and  power  electronics.

  Noise  effects  combine  death  industrial,  experimental,  harshg  noise  and  power  electronics  together  to  create  a  sound  of  their  own  while  leaning  more  towards  harsh  industrial  sounds.

  Vocals  and  songwriting  are  all  absent  from  their  side  of  the  recording  with  the  music  being  all  instrumental  except  for  some  screams  on  the  last  song,  while  the  song  themes  cover  S  & M  and  Bondage  themes,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  heavy  and  brutal  sound  with  shorter  songs  than  the  rest  of  the  groups  that  participated  in  this  split.

  In  my  opinion  My  Blackest  Glove  are  another  great  sounding  hybrid  of  death  industrial,  harsh  noise  and  power  electronics  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  their  side  of  the  recording.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Gutter"  and  "Leather  Boot  Stench".  RECOMMENDED.

  In  conclussion  I  feel  this  is  a  very  great  sounding  split  and  I  would  recommend  it  to  all  fans  of  death  industrial,  harsh  noise  and  power  electronics.  RECOMMENDED  BUY.

  Death  Factory  are  a  band  from  New  York  that  plays  death  industrial/noise/power  electronics  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2011  cassette  "Chilling  Impressions"  which  was  released  by  No  Visible  Scars.

  Synths  and  power  electronics  bring  a  death  industrial  sound  to the  music  mixing  in  avant  garde  elements  as  well  as  a  great  amount  of  brutal  harsh  noise  sound  to  the  recording  and  they  are  the  only  musical  instruments  that  are  present  on  this  recording.

  Vocals  and  songwriting  are  all  absent  from  this  recording  with  the  music  being  all  instrumental,  while  the  song  themes  are  based  on the  horror  films  "Phantasm"  and  "Anthropophagus",  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  dark,  heavy,  raw  and  primitive  sound  to  it  with t he  2  songs  being  long  and  epic  in  length.

  Drums range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  drumming  with  not  much  in   the  way  of  blast  beats,  while  the  bass  playing  has  a  very  strong  and  powerful  sound  with  heavy  riffing that  dominates  throughout  the  recording,  as  for  the  folk  instruments  which  are  only  used  on  a  couple  of  songs  they  bring  an  avant  garde  sound  to  the  music.

  Vocals a re  mostly  deep  death  growls  with  some  spoken  word  parts  and  high  pitched  screams  being  thrown  into  the  music  at  times,  while  the  lyrics  cover  Lovecraft,  darkness  and  death,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  dark,  powerful  and  heavy  sound  which  captures  the  90's  vibe  of  the  music  perfectly.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  recording  from  Megascavanger  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of t his  band,  you  should c heck  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Descent  Of  Yuggoth"  "Funerals  And  Ceremonies"  "Death  Obsessed"  and  "Revel  In  Vermin".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.
