Run With The Hunted are a band from Arizona that plays melodic hardcore with elements of metal, crust and power violence and this is a review of their 2014 album "The Sieve And The Sand" which will be released by Panic Records.
A very heavy and aggressive power violence sound starts off the album along with some screaming vocals before the band starts adding in more melody, screamo and hardcore elements into their music along with some old school punk rock style bass guitars, melodic guitar leads and spoken vocals.
On the other t racks the band finds its sound which has a perfect balance between melody and heaviness as well as mixing in some power violence heaviness into their melodic hardcore sound and the songs have a great amount of diversity and on some of the later tracks a small amount of clean singing is added into the music as well as the guitar playing having its clean moments at times.
Run With the Hunted have a very aggressive and melodic hardcore sound which also has elements of post, d beat and power violence and the songs are very well executed and put together for this musical genre, the production sounds very dark and powerful and the lyrics cover existential dilemmas and exorcising personal demons.
In my opinion Run With the Hunted are a very great sounding aggressive and melodic post hardcore band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album> RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Silent Spring" "Red Queen" and "The Sieve And the Sand". 8 out of 10.
