Negative Thought Process are a duo from the United Kingdom that plays a mixture of crust, grindcore, industrial and power violence and this is a review of their 2016 album "Methylene Butterfly" which will be released in September by Hibernacula Records.
Spoken word samples start off the album and t hey have a sci fi atmosphere to them before going into a heavier direction along with some aggressive shouting vocals and when t he music speeds up a decent amount of blast beats can be heard along with the music incorporating more elements of grindcore.
All of the musical instruments on the recording have a very powerful sound to them and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and some of the riffs also incorporate a small amount of melody while most of the tracks are very short in length and as the album progresses the music starts bringing in more industrial, crust and power violence elements
Negative Thought Process plays a musical style t hat takes crust, grind, power violence and industrial and mixes them together to create a sound of their own, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover real life experiences with drug problems.
In my opinion Negative Thought process are a very great sounding mixture of crust, grind, power violence and industrial and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out t his band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "New Years Destitution" "Masocutter" "Sewing The Wound" and "Rupture_Rapture". 8 out of 10.
