Excruciating Terror/Expression Of Pain/Pessimiser-Theologan Records/1996 CD Review

Excruciating  Terror  where  a  band  from  Los  Angeles  that  mixed  death  metal  and  grindcore  with  crustcore  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  1996  album  "Expression  Of  Pain"  which  was  released  by  Pessimiser-Theologian  Records.

Drums  range  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  drumming  with  alot  of  brutal  sounding  blast  beats  being  thrown in,  while  the  bass  playing  has  a  very  strong,  heavy  and  powerful  tone  with  riffs  that  dominate  throughout  the  recording.

Rhythm  guitars  range  from  slow,  mi  paced  to  fast  riffs  that  combine  death  metal,  grind  and  crustcore and  there  are  no  guitar  solos  or  leads  present  on  this  recording.

Vocals  are  a  mixture  of  deep  death  metal  vocals  and  high  pitched  crust/grindcore  screams,  while  the  lyrics  cover  society,  politics,  war  and  death,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  heavy,  brutal,  raw  and  primitive  sound  to  it.

In  my  opinion  Excruciating  Terror  where  a  very  gteat  sounding  death  metal/grind/crustcore  hybrid  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  style,  you  should  check  out  this  band.  RECEMONDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Expression  Of  Pain"  "Extortion"  "Stupid  War"  and  "Under  The  Burning  Sky".  RECEMMONDED  BUY.
