Krang are a band from Chicago, Illinois that plays a mixture of crust, grind and stenchcore and this is a review of their self released 2009 ep "Onward, Desolation".
The ep starts out with a very heavy and old school thrash/punk sound along with some growls a few seconds later and then the music speeds up along with a mixture of d and blast beats as well as high pitched screams and melody.
As the ep continues the music brings crust, grind and stenchcore together while also bringing in a small amount of guitar solos and leads and you can also h ear all of the musical instruments that are present on this recording and on one of the tracks there is a brief use of spoken word parts being utilized.
Krang bring in a very heavy and old school sound to this recording with the way they mix thrash, punk, crust, grind and stenchcore together to create their own sound that is firmly rooted in the mid 80's tradition.
Song lyrics cover dark and hateful themes, while the production has a very raw, heavy and old school sound where you can hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this recording.
In my opinion Krang are a very great sounding mixture of crust, grind and stenchcore and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Sweating Bullets" and "The Hate You Advocate". 8 out of 10.
