NEID are a band from Italy that h as had music reviewed before in this zine and plays a very aggressive form of grindcore with a touch of crust and this is a review of their 2017 ep "Noise Treatment" which will be released by Sliptrick Records.
Wolf growls start off the ep before going into a very fast and brutal grindcore direction which also uses a great amount of death metal growls and high pitched screams while elements of d beat and crust can also be heard at times as w ell as the riffs also adding in a small amount of melody.
Throughout the recording you can hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while spoken word samples are also utilized briefly along with most of the tracks being very short in length and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and the music always remains heavy.
NEID creates another recording that remains true to the crust influenced grindcore style of previous releases, the production sound s very professional while the lyrics cover human exploitation, mass control, and world system themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from NEID and if you are a fan of crust and grindcore, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Burden Of Progress" and "Clear The Code". 8 out of 10.
