The Rotted/Ad NauseamCandlelight Records/2011 CD Review

The  Rotted  are  a  band  from  the  United  Kingdom  that  plays  a  mixture  of  death  metal  and  crust/punk and  this  is  a  review of  their  2011  album  "Ad  Nauseam"  which  was  released  by  Candlelight  Records.

Drums  range  from  mid  paced  to  fast  drumming  with  alot  of  brutal  sounding  blast  beats  being  thrown  in,  while  the  bass  playing  has  a  very  strong  and  powerful  tone  with  riffing  that  combines  death  metal  and  punk  rock.

Rhythm  guitars  range  from  mid  paced  to  fast  riffs  thaat  combine  death  metal,, thrash,  crust  and  punk  rock ,  while  the  lead  guitars  when  they  are  utilized  bring  a  Motorhead/punk  rock feeling  to  the  music.

Vocals  are  a  mixture  of  death  metal  growls,  high  pitched  screams,  crust  punk  style  growling  and  shouted  gang  style  vocals  in  addition  the  last  song  utilizes  some  black  metal  screams,  while  the  lyrics  cover  hateful,  occult  and  anti  christian  themes,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very strong,  powerful,  heavy  and  professional  sound  to  it.

In  my  opinion  The  Rotted  are  a  very  good  sounding  death  metal/punk  rock  sounding  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  hybrid,  you  should  check out  this  band.  RECEMMONDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Anarchogram  Sun"  "Non  Serviam"  "The  Hammer  Of  Witches"  and  "Put  Me  Out  Of  Your  Misery". RECEMMONDED  BUY.
