Kess'khtak/Destruida Camaguey-Live In Cuba/Sigma Records/2012 Live CD Review

This  is  a  review  of  a  live  recording  from  Kess'khtak  continuing  their  death  metal,  grindcore  and  hardcore  hybrid  but  with  more  raw  elements  than  their  current  full  length  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  live  2012  album  "Destruida  Camaguey-Live  In  Cuba"  which  was  released  by  Sigma  Records.

Drums  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  drumming  with  a  great  amount  of  brutal  sounding  blast  beats  being  thrown  into  the  music,  while  the  bass  playing  has  a  very  dark  tone  with  riffs  that  follow  the  riffing  that  are  coming  out  of  the  guitars.

Rhythm  guitars  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  riffs  that  combine  brutal  sounding  death  metal  with  grind,  crust  and  hardcore  with  the  riffing  being  more  raw  on  this  recording  and  there  are  no  guitar  solos  or  leads  present  on  this  recording.

Vocals  range  from  deep  death  metal  growls  to  hardcore/crust  style  shouts,  while  the  lyrics  cover  violent  and  everyday  themes,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  heavy,  raw  and  primitive  sound  with  all  of  the  songs  being  recorded  live.

In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Kess'khtak  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  death  metal/grind/hardcore,  you  should  check  out  this  live  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Spasm"  "Sick"  and  "Sweet  Revenge".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.
