This is a review of a 7 inch between Poland's Suffering Mind" and Wisconsin's Lifes which was released by Here And Now Records and we will start off the review with Suffering Mind a band that has been featured before in this zine and plays a mixture of grind and blastcore.
Their side of the split starts out with a very heavy guitar sound and a few seconds alter high pitched noisecore screams are added into the music along with some death metal growls and when the music speeds up it goes fro more of a grind/blastcore direction that also utilizes a great amount of blast beats and the songs bring in a good mixture of mid paced and fast parts while the last track brings in a small amount of melody and spoken word parts, the production sound s very heavy while the lyrics cove violent and hateful themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Suffering Mind and if you are a fan of grind, noise and blastcore, you should check out their side of the split. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Subtle" and "Failed".
Next up is Lifes a band that plays power violence.
Their side of the split starts out with sound effects before adding in heavy guitars and high pitched screams as well as some hardcore style shouts and the riffs also bring in a decent amount of melody while the faster sections bring in a great amount of blast beats and throughout their side of the recording you can hear all of the musical instruments and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast part the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover violent and angry themes.
In my opinion Lifes are a very great sounding power violence band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out their side of the split. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Sheep" and "Fucking Thief".
In conclusion this is a very great sounding split and I would recommend it to all fans of blastcore, grind and power violence. 8 out of 10.
