Vomit Breath are a band from Tennessee that has been featured before that plays a mixture of noise, grindcore and death metal and this is a review of their 2015 ep "Confessions Of A Necrophiliac" which was released on cassette by No Visible Scars.
High pitched screams and morbid sounding melodies start off the ep along with some deep death metal growls and blast beats and the music is very heavily rooted in the mid 80's to early 90's styles of death metal and grindcore and all of the tracks are very short in length with the longest one being 2 minutes.
When the music speeds up elements of crust can be heard and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and all of the songs avoid using any solos and leads and focus more on a brutal and old school style of death/grind and the whole ep remains true to a heavy and raw style from beginning to ending of the recording while some of the slower riffs have a touch of doom metal in them.
Vomit Breath creates another recording that remains true to the brutal and old school death/grind style of previous recordings while still also having a touch of crust, d beat and noisecore, the production sounds very dark, heavy and old school while the lyrics cover death, gore, mutilation, sex and horror moves.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Vomit Breath and if you are a fan of death/grind, you should check out this cassette. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "No Escape From Infection" "Living Dead Girl" "Witches Cauldron" and "Urge to Destroy". 8 out of 10.
