Grossty are a band from India that plays a mixture of crust punk and grindcore and this is a review of their 2016 album "Crocopter" which will be released in November by Transcending Obscurity India.
A very heavy and brutal crustcore sound starts off the album along with some aggressive vocals as well as speeding up and incorporating more grindcore elements, high pitched screams, brutal blast beats and death metal growls and you can also h ear all of the musical instruments that are present on the recording.
At times the music brings in hardcore punk style vocals while most of t he tracks are very short in length while some of the growls also get very guttural at times and all of the tracks stick to a either a very fast or mid paced musical direction while only slowing down briefly and while there is a brief use of melody and as the album progresses guitar solos and leads are added onto the recording and one song also brings in a brief use of melodic vocals.
Grossty plays a musical style that takes crust punk and grindcore and mixes them together to create a sound of their own, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover violent and humorous themes.
In my opinion Grossty are a very great sounding mixture of crust punk and grindcore and of you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Brink" "Burn Baby Burn" "Mermaid Marriage" and "Pussy Bun". 8 out of 10.
