Jesus Crost where a band from the Netherlands that has been featured before in this zine and played a mixture of grindcore, crust, power violence and death metal and this is a review of t heir 2017 compilation album "Die Tonmeistral Sessions" which will be released in August by Give Praise Records.
Spoken word samples start off the compilation before going into a very fast and brutal grindcore direction which also uses a great amount of blast beats and high pitched screams along with a few death metal growls and you can also hear all of the musical instruments that are present on the recording.
Most of the tracks are very short in length along with some elements of crust and power violence while the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and both spoken word and movie samples are also used on some of the later tracks and as the compilation progresses a small amount of melody can be heard and some songs also have a guttural approach to vocals and the music always remains brutal.
On this compilation Jesus Crost created a very brutal mixture of grindcore, crust, power violence and death metal while getting more guttural as the compilation progresses, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover soccer themes.
In my opinion this is a very great sounding collection from Jesus Crost and if you are a fan of crust, power violence, grindcore and death metal, you should check out this compilation. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Titanic" "Rapsol" "Parasit" and "Tony Polster". 8 out of 10.
