Hell To Pay are a band from Pennsylvania that plays a mixture of hardcore, crust, grind and death metal and this is a review of their 2018 album "Bliss" which will be released in March by GTR Records.
Elements of noise start off the album before going into a very fast and brutal direction which also uses a great amount of blast beats and grindcore elements along with the vocals also bringing in a mixture of hardcore style shouts, screams and death metal growls while spoken word parts are also used briefly.
Hardcore style breakdowns can also be heard in the mid tempo sections of the songs while the tracks also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with all of the musical instruments having a very powerful sound to them and as the album progresses a brief use of melodic chanting and vocals can be heard as well as the riffs also bringing in a decent amount of melody and the last track is very long and epic in length.
Hell To Pay plays a musical style that takes hardcore, crust, grind, death metal and a touch of harsh noise and mixes them together to create a sound of their own, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover dark and violent themes.
In my opinion Hell To Pay are a very great sounding mixture of hardcore, crust, grind and death metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Starve" "Static" "Second Seal" and "Bliss". 8 out of 10.
