Jesus Crost are a band from the Netherlands that plays a mixture of slamming death metal, crust, power violence and grindcore and this is a review of their 2014 album "1986" which was released by Bones Brigade Records.
Spoken word samples, sports game noises and a heavy yet groove orientated sound starts off the album before adding in guttural growls and technical guitar riffing and after the first track the music goes into a fast and brutal grindcore direction along with some high pitched screams and pig squeel's.
All of the musical instruments on the album have a very powerful sound to them and the band also mixes slow and mid paced slamming death metal riffs in with their fast grindcore sound and you can also hear a decent amount of melody in their musical sound as well as a heavy influence of deathcore.
Jesus Crost play an interesting mixture of slamming death metal, deathcore, power violence, crust and grind and the only set back is the pig squeel's which can be annoying at times but the rest of the music sounds very great, is very well played and brutal, the production sound s very powerful while each of the songs is named after a soccer player.
In my opinion Jesus Crost are a very decent sounding mixture of slamming death metal, deathcore, power violence, crust and grind and if you are a fan of musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Roberto Falcao" "Thomas Skuhravy" "Paulo Futre" and "Jozsef Kiprich". 7/5 out of 10.
