Radio Bikini are a band from the Netherlands that plays an old school mixture of crust, punk and grindcore and this is a review of their 2014 album "Alcoholocaust" which was released by Underground Punk Support.
Spoken word samples start off the record which leads up to an old school hardcore punk sound along with the heaviness of crust which leads up to some aggressive shouts, screams and growls being added into the music and the band sticks mostly to a faster musical direction and after awhile the band adds melody into their musical sound.
There is a great amount of the raw old school punk rock energy in the bands musical sound along with some back up shouts and at times the guitars bring in elements of thrash metal and after awhile the band brings in a small amount of clean playing before making a return back to a heavier sound as well as bringing in a great amount of d beats
Radio Bikini creates a very raw and aggressive sound with their mixture of old school hardcore punk, d beat and crustcore which also brings in the aggression of grindcore to create some very heavy old school hardcore punk, the production has a very raw and heavy sound while you can still hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this recording while the lyrics cover drinking, anti religion, political and hateful themes.
In my opinion Radio Bikini are a very great sounding old school mixture of crust, hardcore, punk, d beat and grindcore and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Fucked by the Cross" "Democrazy" "Resistance Is Futile" and "Warfare". 8 out of 10
