Keitzer are a band from Germany that plays a mixture of death metal, grind, hardcore and crust and this is a review of their 2014 album "The Last Defence" which will be released by FDA Rekotz.
Distorted sound effects stat off the album before going into a more heavier, melodic and direction direction which displays elements of both death and black metal and after the intro the mixture goes into a more fast grindcore direction along with screams, growls and brutal blast beats and they also keep the melody and death metal influences.
After awhile the band starts to mix in a small amount of slow and mid paced parts while the main focus is an a faster musical direction and they also bring in a great amount of melodic Swedish death metal influences into the songs and on the 4th track a brief use of acoustic guitars are added in before returning back to a more brutal musical direction.
In some of the later tracks you can hear a lot of hardcore being mixed into the bands musical style as well as adding in a small amount of thrash at times and the guitar leads they bring into the music are in a more dark and melodic direction and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them.
Keitzer combine a variety of many different extreme genres together with the main ones being death meta, crust, hardcore and grind while also having a small amount of black metal and a great amount of melody which results in a sound only they van call t heir own, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover darkness and war themes.
In my opinion Keitzer are a very great sounding mixture of death metal, grind, hardcore and crust and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Exist To Destroy" "Forever War" "Glorious Dead" and "Crusade". 8 out of 10.
