This is a review of a split album between Slovakia's Abortion and Czech Republic's Choked by Own Vomits and we will start off the review with Abortion a band that plays a mixture of death metal, grindcore and crust.
Their side of the split starts out with melodic Gregorian chants and choirs before going into a very fast grindcore direction and adding in blast beats and death metal growls and the music also mixes in a lot of crust influences along with a small amount of melody and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and some songs also bring in a small amount of high pitched screams and some of the tracks are also recorded live, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover life, death and struggle themes.
In my opinion Abortion are a very great sounding mixture of death metal, grindcore and crust and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band.
Next up is Choked By Own Vomits a band that plays a mixture of death metal and gore/grind.
Their side of the split starts off with spoken word samples before going into a very fast grindcore direction along with a great amount of blast beats and after awhile death metal growls and screams are added into the music and you can also hear a touch of crust in their musical style and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and there is also a brief use of melodic guitar leads being utilized, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics are written in their native tongue and cover fore and humor themes.
In my opinion Choked by Own Vomits are a very great sounding mixture of death metal, crust and gore/grind and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Forman is Dead" and "Sezura A Vyseru".
In conclusion I feel this is a very great sounding split and I would recommend it to all fans of death metal, grindcore, and crust. 8 out of 10.
