MxAxMxA are a band from Russia that plays a mixture of grind and hardcore punk and this is a review of their 2018 ep "Do Not Hurt This Little Brother" which was released by No Bread! Records.
Children music samples start off the ep before going into a heavier musical direction while all of the tracks are very short in length along with one of the tracks being an instrumental and when the music speeds up a great amount of blast beats and grindcore elements can be heard as w ell as the riffs using a decent amount of melody.
Vocals are mostly hardcore punk style shouting while all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them along with the songs also bringing in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts as well as some guitar solos and leads also being used at times and some tracks also bring in movie samples and as the ep progresses a brief use of rave and gabber elements can also be heard, one track is also brings in classic rock style riffing, clean vocals and a touch of hip hop and growls an acoustic guitars can also be heard briefly.
MxAxMxA plays a musical style that is mostly rooted in grind and hardcore punk while also mixing in influences from each genres to create something original, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics are written in Russian and cover humor and drugs themes.
In my opinion MxAxMxA are a very great sounding mixture of grind and hardcore punk and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Metro" "Transformer" "Gene From The Bottle" and "Mental urgency". 8 out of 10.
