Apoptosis are a band from Hungary that plays a mixture of thrash, grindcore and punk and this is a review of their 2016 ep "Monument Of Ignorance" which was released by Neverheard Distro.
A very fast and brutal grindcore sound starts off the ep along with a great amount of blast beats and vocals that use both screams and growls and you can also hear all of the musical instruments that are present on the recording and the riffs are also very heavily influenced by 80's thrash metal while some riffs use melodies.
Elements of hardcore punk can be heard quite a bit throughout the recording while all the songs are very short in length and some songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and heavy parts while also always remaining very heavy and only one of the songs brings in any guitar solos or leads.
Apoptosis plays a musical style that takes the heaviest elements of thrash, grindcore, and punk and mixes them together to create a style of their own, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover hateful and angry themes.
In my opinion Apoptosis are a very great sounding mixture of thrash, grindcore and punk and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Below The Skin" "Playing The Maker" "Monument Of Ignorance" and "Death of Duty". 8 out of 10.
