PanzerBastard are a band from Boston, Massachusetts that plays a mixture of thrash metal and crust punk with some grindcore and black metal elements and this is a review of their 2015 ep "MotorHeathen" which will be released in July by PATAC Records.
A very powerful bass guitar starts off the ep before going into more of a brutal crust direction along with some hardcore style aggressive vocals and the music also brings in a lot of thrash metal elements and the solos and leads remain true to an early 80's metal punk style while the songs also mix in a lot of d beat elements.
Most of the tracks are very short in length and while the music is very heavily rooted in the 80's the music still sounds very modern and demonic black metal vocals can be heard in the music at times while some of the riffs can also be very melodic and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and there is also a brief use of spoken word parts.
PanzerBastard plays a musical style that is mostly rooted in crust punk and thrash metal while some black metal and grindcore influences can also be heard in their sound, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover angry, Satanism, Occultism, Shamanism, and Heathenism themes.
In my opinion PanzerBastard are a very great sounding mixture of thrash and hardcore punk with some grindcore and black metal elements and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Devil Wins Evertime" and "MotorHeathen". 8 out of 10.
