Deathgrave are a band from San Jose, California that plays a mixture of death metal, grindcore, and punk and this is a review of their 2018 album "Sp Real It's Now" which was released by Tankcrimes Records.
A very fast and brutal grindcore sound starts off the album along with a great amount of blast beats while the vocals are mixture of death metal growls and high pitched screams along with a great portion of the tracks being short in length and the riffs also bring in dark sounding melodies.
Throughout the recording you can also hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them along with the music being very heavily rooted in the 90's as well as capturing the energy of punk and when guitar solos and leads are utilized they are done in a very dark and melodic style and on the closing track horror movie soundtrack music is added onto the recording.
Deathgrave plays a musical style that takes death metal, grindcore and punk and mixes them together to create a sound of their own, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover gore and violence themes.
In my opinion Deathgrave are a very great sounding mixture of death metal, grindcore and punk and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Casket Bath" "Sleeping Through A Shoebox" "Life Fast Die Slow" and "Face Forager". 8 out of 10.
