This is a review of a split album between Sweden's Humanity Delete and Greece's Carnal Garden called "Anthems Of Doom/Lethal Onslaught" which was released by Iron, Blood & Death Corp and we will start off the review with Humanity Delete who return with their mixture of death metal, grindcore and d beat.
Their side of the split starts out with a very heavy and old school sound that is heavily rooted in the 90's Swedish style while the vocals are mostly death metal growls along with the faster sections of the songs also adding in elements of d beat and grindcore as well as some blast beats.
Throughout their side of the recording you can also hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while the guitar solos and leads are done in more of an old school style along with the riffs also adding in a small amount of melody and groove at times, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover Asian Ghosts & Folklore and post apocalyptic terror themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Humanity Delete and if you are a fan of death metal, grindcore and d beat, you should check out their side of the split. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Bone Hammer" and "Fangs Of The Wolf".
Next up is Carnal Garden a band that plays an old school form of death metal.
Their side of the split starts out with a very heavy and old school 90's era Swedish influenced sound while the vocals are mostly death metal growls which are very easy to understand while the faster sections of the song also bring in a great amount of blast beats and the riffs also bring in a decent amount of dark sounding melodies.
Throughout their side of the recording you can also hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while one track also brings in a brief use of spoken word parts along with the music always remaining very heavy as well as some melodic guitar leads being added onto the closing track, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover horror, society and environment themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Carnal Garden and if you are a fan of old school death metal, you should check out their side of the split. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Lethal Onslaught" and "Enemy Territory".
In conclusion I feel this is a very great sounding split and I would recommend it to all fans of old school death metal, d beat and grindcore. 8 out of 10.
